First Meeting
Monday Morning, April 28, 2008, 10:00 AM
The 125th Annual Conference of the Bible Fellowship Church was called to order at 10:02 a.m. by the Chairman, William G. Schlonecker, at Pinebrook Bible Conference. He read from the Faith and Order article 501-4 reminding us of the purpose of Annual Conference. He then led the conference in prayer.
Richard T. Paashaus, worship leader of the 125th Annual Conference led the men in singing Rejoice, the Lord Is King. He prayed and read Psalm 51. The conference sang Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing. He closed the worship time in prayer.
William G. Schlonecker, Chairman of the 125th Annual Conference, spoke on the theme, A Mandate to Godly Leadership: The Man. He emphasized the need for brokenness in the life of Godly leaders. Richard T. Paashaus led the men in singing Search Me, Oh God. William G. Schlonecker ended the worship time in prayer.

Whereas, both the Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the 125th Annual Conference are members of the Study Committee on the Process and Purpose of God’s Calling People to Salvation and will be involved in the presentation and discussion of the consideration of legislation at Second Reading pending a positive vote by a sufficient number of churches, therefore be it
Resolved, that Randall A. Grossman, the Chairman of the 123rd and 124th Annual Conferences when this committee previously reported, assume the Chair during the discussion of the Second Reading of the Articles on Salvation.

Whereas, the Ministerial Candidate Committee has recommended ordination for Thomas H. Morrison, and
Whereas, the Ministerial Candidate Committee has recommended prior ordination recognition for Shan D. Cleck, Robert B. Kramer and Ferdie R. Madara, and
Whereas, these brethren have served acceptably as ministers of the Bible Fellowship Church for the required period of time or the equivalent thereof, and
Whereas, after examination, the Credentials Committee believes these men to be called of God to the gospel ministry and to be in accord with the Faith & Order of the Bible Fellowship Church, therefore be it
Resolved, that Thomas H. Morrison be ordained to the gospel ministry of the Bible Fellowship Church, and further
Resolved that the prior ordination of Shan D. Cleck, Robert B. Kramer and Ferdie R. Madara to the gospel ministry be recognized by the Bible Fellowship Church.
R. C. Reichenbach offered prayer for these men who are joining us in the gospel ministry.
Resolved, that the Grace Bible Church of Las Cruces, NM, Paradise, PA, Ephrata, PA and Shamokin, PA, BFC, be encouraged to have a service in recognition of the ordination of Thomas H. Morrison and prior ordination of Shan D. Cleck, Robert B. Kramer and Ferdie R. Madara, respectively, and that they be encouraged to invite the Credentials Committee to send representation to be present at the service.

David A. Thomann gave an update on his sister Beverly who had a fall at his home and sustained multiple fractures. She is healing and hopefully will be home from the hospital shortly.
